So anyways long story short, i get everthing together and now all the sudden the car will not charge. I TRIPLE checked all the wiring so everyhting is correct. Could the alternator or battery have gone bad in 2 days of not working? What do you guys think?

Check the battery to see what it's holding and also have the alternator checked to see what it's putting out. If those two come out fine than you know it's something else for sure.

Ya the alternator is plugged in right. It has the new SN-95 style alternator in it. So everything is one post. And the voltage regulator is plugged in.

On my Volts guage it sits at 12, and slowly goes down when the car is running....does that mean its the alternator? Maybe i set the alternator down hard or soemthing and broke the voltage regulator....i dunno...if i dont get a reply by the morning im gonna go take out the alternator and get it tested.

If you are driving or idling and the volt meter continues to go down that means that either one your using more volts than your alternator can produce or two your alternator is just going out. I am guessing number two.

Mike- what pulley combo are you running? If it's the factory 5.0 setup, your stock belt should work. On my Cobra, I couldn't run the crank pulley, so I went with a stock 5.0 crank pulley. If you're running the Cobra water pump pulley with the stock 5.0 crank pulley, lemme know..I can get you the correct belt size from mine. [Smile]

Hey John i think i figured out what the problem is.

I have no AC Condensor or Pulley...i have the AC delete kit that moves teh power steering pump to the location in between where the AC and Power steering pump are. Im looking around for the brackets and bolts and the broken AC condensor to put back in.

The alternator was not charging due to a slipping belt.

hey mike, i had a problem getting a correct belt after installing a small crank pulley and removing my A/C and smog pump and heres what i did...
take the stock belt and put it around the puilleys, then take out any slack so it's tight around the pulleys, then clamp the belt with a set of vice grips, take it down to kragen/auto zone/pep boys and give them the belt and they will hopefully find one the right size. if t\your pulley situation calls for a longer belt...i dunno, sorry.
