Can anyone help me out with what backspacing to get when using an sn-95 disc brake rear in a fox.I know the rear is a little wider than the original rearend.Right now ive got 285/40zr17's on 95 tri-bars.They dont rub at all,but im gonna switch to 15's and drag rims soon.As it sits right now it looks like theres about an inch and a half more room at the inside fenderwell for more tire.

Isn't it about 2 inches wider because of the abs?

I'll let you know tomorrow when I talk to my bud he owns a differential shop.

I want to say 6.5 but not totally sure.

Well, just for your reference, the M179 Cobra R wheel was the wheel designed by Ford to work on the Fox bodies with the SN95 rear width (for the M2300K brake kit). The backspacing on the M179 wheel is 6.42" (though it is 9" wide compared to your current 8" wide and 5.72" backspace). This wheel was originally intended to run a 255/45-17 but most run a 275/40-17 with only a little clearancing (rolling the lip, flipping or removing the quad shock and moving the exhaust pipe inboard a bit).

The SN95 axles are 0.75" longer on either side. What size drag radials are you going to run? What width rims? The phone support at Tire Rack are very helpful and will most likely be able to tell you what wheel will work with your combo and tire.

Sean.
