I might buy a brand new set of Hedman headers from Summit. They are shorties for a 2V 4.6.....anyone have anything good to say about them or use them???

Also I just got a free Notchback. It's a an 85 carbed Notch with a 302......I've never worked on a carbed car before, but I havve noticed it has a Holley 4 barrel carb and chrome valve cover.....everything else seems to be stock. Is this a good car to keep??? I got it for free and it runs, but no tooo well.
I need a front bumper & headlights. It has no seats, but all the capeting is there as well as the dash and the shifter bezel. Anyone know where to get the parts I need for it cheap? Anlso who has parts for a 5 lug conversion I can pay whomever would lik eto do the work.

The 4bbl carb and valve covers are most likely stock (if they've got Ford script on them). Not a bad car at all. Good luck in the search for a bumper...that was a 2 year only design. As for seats, if you want something just to sit on, I've got a set of dryed-out leather ones from my 91...they're yours if you wanna come up for them. For the 5 lug, don't waste your time..unless you absolutely want 5 lug wheels. The easiest swap would be 87 and up spindles with Lincoln Mark 7 rotors with Ranger axles out back...find a Pick-n-Pull and have fun!

BTW, if you don't wanna deal with the Notch..I'll gladly give you $100 and a cheeseburger for it. [Big Grin]

Well al I need really is the front & rear bumper....I have the rear, but it's cracked. I need the headlights as well as the headlight brackets. Also 2 front seats.
The carb is a Holley, so I know the previous owner put that on.....and the valve covers are chrome so I know that's not stock either....I basically wanna get this thing to run nicely....no mods neede, just to cruise around it. It already has 2 chambers with dumps.

'85s came with Holleys from the factory so it could be stock, model #4180 600cfm vac sec (realistically, more like 580cfm) It also uses an internal fuel filter which often gets forgotten and is a common culprit for bad running 83-85 Mustangs. Also be careful of the secondary accelerator pump cover. If the car has been sitting for a few months, it has a tendency to leak causing many an engine fire.

For the front and rear bumper, seats and 5 lug changeover parts call 408-420-6004.He has all those parts in stock.

As far as the Holley carb that is most probly stock as they came with a Holley from the factory. The valve covers are not stock they would be a finned type aluminum cover and have "Powered By Ford" on the valve cover.

If you decide to sell that car or need any of the parts installed call me at 408-420-3003.
