ok Alpine head unit playing thru my mach 460 system. Intermittenly hear noise thru my speakers. It switches speakers on occasion. Sometimes if I hit my trunk release or turn my music up really loud it just shuts off the noise.

I've checked the connections on my wiring kit to the deck they all appear perfect. When I put my stock stereo back in no such problems at all.

sounds like a grounding problem, or alternator noise. check all your connections... make sure the deck has a good ground. do you have any amps at all?

it could be the 460 amps, they might not like that your deck has a built in amp...
try and Isolate it further by disconnecting each amp and only leaving one hooked up/ and try that.

I'll give that a shot but like I said early the noise just rotates around thru the speakers. left front today, back right tommorrow, etc. On the alternator noise how can I check on that?

Hey homie check your RCA's. When people use cheap RCA's u can sometimes hear engine noise through your sound system. Get some good RCA cables.

try and by pass the 460 amps, and use just the decks amp. Its never a good idea to put an amp into another amp, esp the 460 amps.

wouldn't I need to re wire all the speakers then? I just have the wiring kit from the deck to the factory harness. That seems like a pain in the ass.
