Hey, I was wondering how manifold spacers contribute to engine performance. Generally speaking, how does it make a difference? Or,is it strictly based on certain applications? My application is a cobra intake,equal length,pulleys,5spd,355's.Down the road I would like to pick up some cylinder heads. Oh yeah, the motor is not in the car yet, so I don't have to consider this addition not being worth the amount of work. Plus, my friend has one laying around that I can have for next to nothing. Peace.

a spacer will make the intake have a longer runner, shifting the useable rpm lower, so more torque, less high rpm power
the main use of a spacer is to clear taller valve covers
