I was just going to say 4.10's but i realized you have a 5-speed and first gear is short enough with 3.73's in mine, i think 3.55's with a T5 is the best way to go [patriot]

3.73, 4.10 are way to much, u have a torque monster right now, why put huge gears in there and then just blow the tires off

What heads are you running? What RPM do you expect peak power at?

A little FYI...He's not gonna just blow the tires off with steeper gears. The steeper the gear the more throttle you can apply sooner. Think about it, 273 gears would take 1st gear to lets just say 50mph. 430 gears would take 1st to lets say 25mph. Now think about being at a stop...now launch the car and apply full throttle. If this car has "monster torque" and the tires spin, which would gain traction first. Now if your thinking 273's you need to read this again.

I have 3.73 in mine and I don't care for it much. Goes through the RPM range much too quickly to take advantage of all the low and mid-range torque. I'll be switching to 3.27s one of these days, although 3.55 will probably get you better 1/4 times if that's what you're into.
