93 Pony and ON N20 have those heads on their cars and they both run much much faster than 13.00; but they both have turbos. There are MANY cars on this board with E7's heads going 13's.

I went from 12.9s @ 104 to 12.5s @108 by swapping from stock heads to GT-40 irons. You should pick up about ~3 or 4 mph regardless.

Your 5.O should run 13's with the stock heads on there. Get your car into the 13's first before swapping heads.

Are you getting a good deal on these heads?...I would personally rather save more money for some better aluminum heads...
Like Sawson said, your 5.0 can run 13's with the stock heads....I ran 13.6 @ 102 with my stock heads...I know I could've got better times than those, especially since I modified the car after that..

Id hate to you see yank off your intake, put Gt-40's on, put the same intake back on, and still be running 14's. Go get gears, and other little things before you tear the top half apart.

I dont know what other stuff you have, but I honestly cant see much improvement with GT-40's stock MAF, TB, Intake, etc, etc. My point was there are other areas where I think you can gain ET.

one of the reasons his car is slow right now is the combo is a huge mis match he has a stock long block, stock cam edelbrock RPM intake, 70mm tb
that big of an itake and tb is just killing his low end power, that will go for e'7s or the gt40's, the rpm is WAY to big
as i have said many times phat50, trade ur upper intake for someones regular performer and u will be faster, a performer intake is much better suited for gt40's than the rpm, i repeat, its too big, especially with those gears

Crap on that I had an RPM, 70mmTB, stock heads stock cam, 3:55's, exhuast and I went 13.50's and my best MPH was 103MPH, with no pullies stock MAF, paper filter, and my number 6 plug wire half burnt off!
I say stick some better gears in it and put some nitto DR's on it and better your driving and see what you can do then put the heads on it!!!what ever you do don't get rid of that intake cause you will want it in the future. [ October 13, 2003, 03:28 PM: Message edited by: 98slowhoe ]
