"Suck through" type for sure. Blow through MAF's need to be calibrated with a couple of feet of the inlet tubing attached, unless you have 2+ feet of straight tubing leading to the MAF.

I don't know about C&L's. They're a hit and miss that is almost always a miss on a power adder car. Put it on the dyno and see how smooth your air fuel ratio curve looks with that C&L. The only reason to run a blow though is in a twin turbo setup where you have air from two meters coming into one pipe. Dual MAF setups never work right so blow through is the only way in that situation.

its funny you say that the pro-ms have been nothing but problems on our poweradder cars and the c/ls have made the most hp and had the best af curve strangely enough. In my past experiences with over 14 meters from pro m all of them were changed for c/ls due to problems with the meters. I just put this post up cause the universal blow through was getting alot of comments on turbomustangs.com and i was seeing if anyone on here has used them to let me know if they fixed the old bullet problems

I haven't heard of this new blow through you talk about and I haven't heard of any serious tuner prefering the C&L over a Pro-M.... as far as which one makes more power.... its just a piece of tubing with a sensor on it. 1-3mm diamter is next to nothing as for as the engine or HP is concerned. The HP difference comes in the tune and both MAF's will make the same HP if tuned to the same air fuel ratio.

Also to keep in mind. Byron will not tune any cars with a C&L air meter. He says it is too hard.

Lol byron will never tune one of my cars i watched him blow 3 headgaskets on our clubs cars in one day lol. Maybe he knows what he is doing now but he didnt then.
onn2o do yu have a link for the blow thru 80mm c&l Id be intrested to check it out i have only seen the pro m one and id rather go with the c&l due to proper calibration and quality as i am still skeptical about the quality of the pro m product.
