I did the tranny swap from an automatic to a 5spd t5 transmission, but now I'm getting "check engine" light and when I put the scanner, it show all the tranny codes, like the over drive, shift kit, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear...etc. I tried sending my EEC with a good tuner to erase those codes but it did not work, now, my question is, how bad can it be to drive my car with that light on as long to performance goes, and what can I do to fix the problem,!!

When I called a Tranny shop they told me the computer would also have to be replaced with a Comp for the 5 speed, but how dificult was it to change over?

I got the job done in El Centro, CA, I was told afterwards that I have to change the harness that goes from the processor to my dash board, but I also heard that they can just erase those codes from the EEC.
