ok so i got some tfs twisted wedge tea stage 2 ported o-ringed heads. my questions is will they work on a stock bottom end? or will i need to notch the pistons? not sure what cam im going to use, but somewhere around a tfs stage 1 cam. but im pretty sure ima need my pistons notched right?

Depends. Unless you know the dimensions of all the parts, you wont know for sure. The only way to find out is to put some putty on the top of a piston, slap a head on, crank it over a few times, and see if the valve hit.

yea i figured i probably wouldnt know for sure. but i just want to get everything set straight before i make all these plans. plus i need to sale my car and get a new coupe before i put the heads on. other than the car i have everything. probably gonna change the cam though, i dont think an x-cam would be very good for the heads.

good to see you finally got a set of heads that will work. I have run the tfs twisted wedge with a f cam and 1.7 rockers with no piston to valve clearance problems.

I have the EXACT same heads....TFS twisted wedge O ringed with a stage II port and they will work with the bottom end no problem. Best thing to do is call TFS and ask their tech's. That's what I did and they were very helpful and told me EXACTLY what combos will work and what will not.
