Here is a basic formula that works for just about any engineering field including building a fast Mustang.

Cheap + Fast = not Reliable
Cheap + Reliable = not Fast
Reliable + Fast = NOT CHEAP

There is pretty much no way to avoid this law of nature.

If you want a street (Able to handle rush hour traffic over the Altomont with out breaking a sweat) GT with 450+ rwhp or a Cobra with 550+ rwhp be prepared to spend $$$. Other wise it will not be reliable and you will just end up spending even more $$$.

What does this have to do with "Tech Talk"?....

I think this would have been better suited in the "General Talk" section....

Thanx [patriot]

It may be better in "General Talk", but I keep reading about, or hearing people talk about how much power they want to have and how they are going cut corners to do it for cheap. In the long run it just costs more.

That's why many of us chose to cut out the cornering part from our goals [Big Grin] I'm pretty content with my cars handling.... it the acceleration I can never get enough of [burnout]

Well I know a certain someone with a blown 4v hitting a "streetable" 623+rwhp and spending less than a lot of other people in getting those numbers.. [Wink]

You can get away with spending less money if your smart and know what your doing....

Money is a big factor yet if you are a moron then it really wont matter how much money you dump into your car. But if you actually know what you are doing then you have a better chance to save a few buck here and there doing work yourself or "cutting corners" as some put it.

Cheap + Stupid = AAA
Cheap + Smarts = SAC.
and Reliable is for people that don't have a second car

Cuz the 32v Cobra takes to super charging like a duck takes to water. Besides it has a beefier bottom end. But maby I should have said 400 for the GT and 500 for the Cobra.

Eric with the black Rousch on here is putting out 450+ to the rear but he has a built short block, heads, cams, Bullit intake, custom fuel system, axles, etc... He did it right Fast + Reliable = Not Cheap! I have seen Cobras that put out 500+ with a blower and a few bolt ons.
