I just did a AOD to T5 swap and the engine won't start. It cranks but nothing else. Also I can't hear the fuel pump kick on when i turn the key. So I am guessing its a lack of fuel.

I would guess the same. Most common problem for ALL who do that swap.

The car cranks.... I have to put the clutch in to get it to even crank over so I am guessing that is working fine. The Fuel pump is not turning on. Is there a relay or something I could have messed up or disconnected? Thanks for your help everyone!

I dont think so. If it was the neutral safety switch, it wouldnt crank at all. Same with the clutch switch, if its not closed, the starter wont engage.

Check the intertia switch. Did you take your seat out to install the pedals? Make sure the fuel pump relay didnt come unplugged.

Check your fuel pump relay. For Fox's, they can be in two different spots. Either under the driver's seat, or on the frame rail directly under the MAF in the engine bay. My dollar is on this being the problem.

Thats what I was thinking too, especially since you usually take your seat out to install the pedals

So I tried again and if you play with the key lots it keeps the fuel pump for a second or so but not normal. Its like there is a short. I am not sure yet but I will figure it out.

If you have an extra Ignition switch (not the key tumbler, but the switch that bolts to the side of the column), slave it in and try it. Your fuel pump/relay draws it's power from the "key-on" source.

I hope you realize where the extra switch is gonna come from ;-) I will be home later tonight to talk to you about picking up the car.

LOL...ya, I know I know. Just keep the butcherin' to a minimum please. Remember that the switch is screwed in with tamper screws (torx bits with cutouts). I'll give you a call this evening about the car.

I am a moron, well we all new that anyways but on the plug that goes to where the key is it just wasn't plugged in tight, I checked it twice and then relized it accually moves in two places. All better now. She fired up just fine with one hell of the usual exhaust leak...

Just drove my car around the block! I lasted one month without a 5 speed, I thought that was pretty good. I am sooooo glad to have it back though...

I didn't buy anyways except a throw out bearing and a pilot bearing. Oh and some ATF. My convertable was my donor car. It was a 90 5.0 5speed and it gave me every single part I needed. I am way broke though and I HIGHLY recommond a new clutch cable and adjuster. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
