Very.... Its like putting brake pads on without cutting the rotors. Basically, the clutch disk will not "seat" with the flywheel, and you will most likely get chattering and possibly slipping. I highly recommend getting it resurfaced. If you dont, you pretty much just wasted your money on the clutch....

Its a waste of money if you dont resurface the flywheel. I love the feeling of a new clutch and your going to sacrifice about half of that great feeling if you dont spend a meesly 50 bucks on the flywheel. Plus I estimate that you will loose half the clutch life and I GUARRANTEE that you will end up with a chatter.

It's not just for the texture of the surface. The flywheel wears on a taper, so the inner portion will be lower than the outer part. This can be seen easily with a straight edge across the top. A flat surface will obviously give your clutch more bite. I also recommend that you go to a place that uses a flywheel grinder, not a lathe.

Basically, you'll get bad clutch chatter and the clutch will not last as long....

Just resurface you shit!
