I detailed my friends(eclipse driver)car, and being the nice guy that I am I let him take out my mustang while it was getting worked on because he had other things to get taken care of before prom tonight. He came back and handed me my keys but uhh....half the key was gone. I checked the ignition or whatever its called and sure enough the other half is still stuck in there. Does ANYONE know how to get it out??!?!?! Another problem is I dont think I have a replacement key for it so I dont know how I'm going to go about getting a new one made or what I'd have to replace to get it workin again. Anyone know what I need to do??? THANKS!!

Yeah, I already did that and it works fine, I just dont know if I need to go to Folsom Lake Ford or if I need to go to a locksmith.

Chances are you will probably need a whole new assembly, I would go to the dealer.

what if you put a little dab of 5 minute epoxy on the broken end of the key and stick it in. You could probably get the key out atleast and maybe it would be strong enough to get a new key made. Or, once you get it out, maybe you could braze it together and then get another key made?

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. If worst comes to worst ill drive to a locksmith which I'll need to do anyways so I can get a new key made. The apoxy and magnet sound like they might work good, ill try both. Thanks again
