I have a 92 OMC cobra boat 302 I am putting in my 91GT and the castings on the stock motor are E7's like all are stock. The ones on the omc motor are E8 castings but have the same valve size. Has any one heard of these before, are they just the next casted batch of heads? I need to find out what valve spring psi they are and compair this to the stock heads so I won't float or flaten the stock roller cam( boats run the flat tappit).

I have spent about 5K on the car in the last 2 months as it is. I plan on upgrading heads, cam, intake down the road but for now the omc motor only has 7K miles on it. So I would like to use them for now and upgrade later. All I want to find out is about ths spring psi for the cam. I know they flow as well and should be better then the E7's. 91 gt is 215hp and the boat motor is 245hp w/a 2bbl carb.
