I have 90 GT and I want to switch to the cobra style front grill. So do I need to buy the LX bumber cover to replace mind sense the GT has no place for the grill. Also if I do that and then add the front ground effects to it will they line up with the rest of the car? Thanks Casey

The Cobra grill is just an insert. You mark, you cut, you fasten it in from the backside. You NEED to use a GT front end, if you're going for the Cobra clone look. It's actually very simple to do, takes less than an hour.

i like that look also, not to mention the whole 93 cobra car. the 'brains' vert looks really good with that cobra insert and cowl hood. good luck.

It fits a GT bumper better than an LX bumper because there is no support for the top edge of the insert so it tends to droop a little
See what I mean

Brain your car still looks great I look forward to adding it to mine. What about painting??? Do you paint it then put it in or do I need to have a body shop do it???

you really like posting pictures of your car don't you? let me help you.
Yes that cobra insert should be a nice touch to any mustang, but i would also say it looks better on the GT front. You could also add a Saleen front air dam to an lx bumper, but you already have the gt so why bother? [ April 17, 2003, 12:25 AM: Message edited by: 87 Saleen ]
