Author Topic: Rims and tire help???? mustanggt5091 All I need is..... Member # 444 posted                              I have a 88GT with 98 cobra rims, 245/45/17, and lowered an inch and a half or two. I am wondering if 275/40/17 would fit, There is a lot of room between my quad shock and tire but not the fender and tire! Anyone know the differences in backspacing between a cobra r rim and a 98 cobra rim? Anyone know if the 275's will fit? -------------------- 88 GT 357w (SOLD):( 06 Limited Edition R6 !!!!! It doesn't sound like your car is "slammed" on the ground so at worst you may need to take a rubber mallet to the fender lips to roll them a little bit. -------------------- R.I.P. Willie G.
