I bought lots of performance parts which includes a Crower Camshaft with lifters and a Trick Flow Intake Manifold. But I was urged to get the Stock Heads Ported or else my goods won't work well with unported heads. Do any of you folks know anyone who could do the bore and stroke job or porting for a cost that'll still leave a smile on my face? Let me know. Thanx People! [patriot]

If you don't have a friend to hook you up, pay the $400 or so and get some gt40's.

possibly talk to "mouse" on the corral, he got 210 CFM out of E7's, which is GT-40x territory...

Hi there. Like I said in your email, I think you just need to save up for some aftermarket heads. TFS TW's if you're going to supercharge it later or AFR165's if you're going to stick to running all motor.

VenGeance,

Regarding the portwork for stock heads. I just got a set of ported stockers with upgraded valvesprings, retainers, locks, ect... for ~$400 They flow better then GT-40's too. [Smile]

why are you in such a rush to put this stuff on, I'd advise you to wai until you make the full combo with the cylinder heads of your choice so you do everything right the first time, not just the cheapest and fastest way possible. [patriot]

Best advice so far!!! I was going to go with the cheapest possible way and make a lot less power than what I really wanted, but knew that later on would want to upgrade. So I went with the parts I wanted to get. You'll end up paying more if you settle for what you can afford now. Just save a little more man. Like I said in my e-mail, I know a couple of guys selling cheap aluminum heads. Let me know if you are intersted.

Good suggestions by all. Perhaps i will save up. Or yet, get the heds ported. I still want to keep the original parts without storing extra stuff around. Better yet, if I keep the stock cam, I can keep the stock heads unported, right? My LX coupe sedan won't suffer any blown heads, will it?
Better yet, look at the menu here:
TrickFlow Street Manifold-
HEDMAN shorty headers-
30 lb injectors-
70mm TB-
76mm Mass air-
Crower cam with lifters-
1.7 rocker arms-
155 LPH fuel pump-
And if the stock computer won't run it well: Performance chip module-

There. Now tell me anything else that might be of concern. I'm open to suggestions to all. [patriot]
