Which in line fuel pump is the best? I have heard problem stories with both. I have a 190lph in tank fuel pump. Is that enough or do I need to switch to a 255lph with the inline for my new setup?? [Confused]

The Aeromotive is an independent pump. the T-REX is a "booster" pump for the inline tank.

I'm very conservative when it comes to fuel systems.... a 255 high pressure intank and Walbro 255 inline pump is very safe to 475 rwhp with an FMU.

Well it all depends on how much fuel pressure you're running through the injectors.

Higher fuel pressures tax the fuel pump more ( http://www.roadraceengineering.com/fuelpumpflowrates.htm )

For example, at 75 psi, your Walbro 190lph fuel is only flowing 105 lph [Eek!] Thus the need for a "booster" pump when running a FMU.

Is anyone here running a Kenne Bell Boost-a-pump? Since flow is directly related to voltage (most pump ratings..I'm assuming are at around 12), I would imagine it would be a wise bolt on since it will keep the voltage to the pump in check while giving the tunability to bump up lph when needed.

Just wondering since I am thing seriously about getting it...

So if I run my 190 in tank and the T-rex along with 42lb injectors at 44 psi in the fuel rails, is that going to be enough or should I switch to the 255? I heard you had to modify the tank to get the 255 in it.

Looks as if you are still confused as to your fuel system dudical. According to fuel pump information provided via companies that fuckin sell 'em, at 44 psi you will be pushing approximatly 168liters per hour with your existing 190lp/h pump. Providing you have 6 amps MINUMIM going to the pump. Jeff I have been in your garage hundreds of times lookin at yo shit bro and your 190 will be cosher until you throw on that 125 shot. Once you run that 125 shot, you better upgrade fo sho and here is why:

A general rule of thumb is that it takes .5lbs of fuel to make 1hp. With that in mind I just basically did the math...

You want around 700hp right?

700hp/8cylinders= 87.5hp per cylinder assuming each cylinder is making optimal power with the 11:1 compression. So I took 87.5 and multiplied in the .5lbs of fuel to get 43.75lbs/hour. That means you need basically 44lbs of fuel per hour to run at 100% efficiency with your injectors. But you always want to run your injectors at about 75% capacity for tuning issues. Never run at 100% because you won't be able to tune things right. So anyway, like I said before, until you throw on that 125 shot, your engine will be good with 42's and (for safetys sake) the 255 in-tank.

That is the way it is bro. Since you got a deep breather, you need the extra fuel! Have I ever let you down before my nizzle? Never... Call me up if you have any other Q's. [burnout] [burnout] [burnout]

Jeff, It is called a billet pump controller and it is for keeping the fuel cool on long trips or when the car is on for a long time. It is RECOMMENDED by Aeromotive that you get it. I would if I was you just to be safe since you have the extra $. Here is the link to the controller and the whole damn website in general:

Well the controller will be worth it. I have already burned one pump out and I have a new pump with a controller that I haven't installed yet.
