My '92 ran best at 16*, 91 octane in the tank. This gave me my best mph at the track (102). You just have to try the different settings and see if it pings or loses power.

I actually went with 16 also. I would start at 13-14 and work up from there to see what works best for your car.

Each car is a little bit different, but for pretty much every stocker 5.O out there, 12^ is fine on 91 octane. On the dyno my car gained only 2 RWHP going from 12^ to 14^ and would ping at times. At the track I've always ran a fraction of a MPH faster with 12^ vs 14.

What oscilloscope did you use? Textron or Mitsubishi?

TheBrain's snap-on
don't worry, my crusty timing pointer is +/- 2 degrees, I'll be the first to admit.
