once every 5-6 shifts, when i shift into 3rd gear (and only into 3rd) the shifter pops out of gear. what is going on?

possibly the tri-ax adjuster screw isnt adjusted right. mine does it ever once in awhile and some told me it could be that. so i figure you could try unthreading it a little bit and see if that works.

well it could be the syncros goin bad
my 98gt use to do that
ford fixed it under warranty
or it could be clutch goin out
but I would try to adjust the screw on the shifter 1st since its the easiest to do maybe its not falling all the way in gear
