Well i have been told two sides to this question so i now really need to get the right answer. Will the 93 cobra side skirts fit onto an lx body or do you need to have the gt moldings? Tons of ppl told me that they will fit no problem, and others say that it wont match up unless i purchase the gt moldings. Whats the deal?? [Confused]

Thanks...

Im sorry, but the GT and Cobra bumbers are 2 different things. As far as I know, the LX has no ground effects kit, the Gt has the ground effects kit, and a 93cobra(only fox body cobra) has its own set of ground effects. Go here, http://www.cervinis.com and the part # is 434. The Cobra ground effects kit will fit both LX's, coupes, and Gt's. All these cars are the same...except for the body kits...like GT and Cobra ground effects.

I know about all three kits being different, but all the dealers have a little side note that says if you have an LX, the cobra side skirts wont match up unless you buy GT door moldings. I never brought up the bumpers, and yeah they are different among all three cars. Just curious about the side skirts, anyone know?

When it says door moldings it is refferring to the ones with the line in them that run half way down the car and ALL the way around all fox bodys. They will fit the car fine though.

Trust me. Look at a GT and an LX and you will see the difference.

 - jesus, not one of these has answered my question [Mad] . Ok here it is plain and simple, direct quote from cervinis. "The side skirts are designed to match GT body moldings. They will not match up to LX body moldings." Is this correct or what, if so where can i get gt body moldings and any other thing to make cobra skirts fit. thank you

You want to get the GT door moldings. The LX ones will line up, but the shape and size of the stripe is different from LX and GT. Look at a GT and an LX, you will see the difference. I went to Mustangs Unlimited for my replacement moldings, I was told Ford no longer has them.

Check mustangsunlimited.com, but I think they were like 200 for the pair.
