Topic: Changed my alternator and now my car wont idle

All i did was change the alternator ( i did disconnect the battery and now the car does not want to idle.....It will hunt and then die.......i did not change anything at all. I triple checked everything too...........

well, sounds like you lost whatever 'adaptation' the EEC-IV had already done when you cleared it by disconnecting the battery (so would I with an alternator swap, I'm not nuts!). Have ye a custom chip?

Nope i dont have a custom chip so i guess ill have to deal with it till my EEC adapts. Any tricks to making it adapt quicker?

Its just hard cause it like to die all the time......... time for a custom dyno tune i guess
