Well im getting the rest of my parts put on either tomorrow or tuesday which includes: headers, rockers, ignition, & new rotor/cap, plugs, and wires for just a general tune-up.. Im also advancing the timing....
Anyway, heres the offer at my feet. My buddy has a spare ZEX (i think) nitrous setup. I can get it for real cheap and i would run it at probably 75hp jets, but occasionaly boosting it up for a big run. Do you think this would be ok? They said it would be alright if i used it right, and they have even seen bigger shots run on stock motors. Also, im getting a new mass air meter and 65mm throttle body, will those help the situation if i got the nitrous??

you will be fine upto I think a 100 shot afthere that you would need a bigger fuel pump ,injectors but of course you know that the more NOS you run the more dammage you will do in the long run

I ran up to about a 215 shot with a stock bottom end.
100shot 150 shot is no sweat

Sounds good. I still have a stock bottom end but i do have a bigger fuel pump plus wont the ignition help also? As for injectors, i was told that the stock ones will be ok for now and not to go bigger until i get into more serious engine work, so im sticking with the stock ones.
btw is nitrous considered "boost." like what sorts of gauges are required in a setup. [ October 06, 2002, 10:44 PM: Message edited by: PeNiNsula302 ]

Nitrous is not considered boost.
No gauges are required but they do help.
You at least want a nitrous pressure gauge for your bottle.
If you have a good fuel pump an adj. regulator youll be good to go (wet system)

I think that blower you have there does a lot more damage than or 75 shots do. At least we dont have to worry about impellers breaking off flying into or motors.
