Just wondering if anyone here has or knows about converting a '98 to a t45. I pretty much know everything there is to it except the ECU part. On my '90 5.0L, I converted to t5 and kept the auto computer and didn't encounter any driveability problems, I just looped the neutral safety switch and rigged the rest. As for the EEC-V on my '98, I am not so sure as to if this will have the same result.

I read that when you switch to a t45, you have to switch to a manual computer as well, but is this necessary? I would think switching t45 to auto you would have to for the timing and shift points.

I know I can loop the neutral safety and should be able to bypass the MLP sensor but I am not sure and was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback.

thanks.
