Does anyone know FOR SURE what size the factory door speakers are on a 89 Stang.
My crutchfield says, 6 1/2 but they look smaller. Thanks for the help.--Dan

My '92 has 6 1/2", stock Ford speakers. Bought 5 1/4", and they fall thu the mounting hole! Grabbed the ruler, sure enough, 6 1/2"...

My 87 GT had 5.25" in the door.

The other locations posted are correct.

Interesting! I'm still not sure. I measured the factory speakers straight across the speaker from metal edge to metal edge and it as 6 1/4. Thats is much closer to 6 1/2 than 5 1/4 so I guess I have 6 1/2 unless I measuring the speaker wrong. Anyone else? --Dan

Well, gee- what happens when you try to put that 5 1/4" speaker where the 6 1/4" was? Any idea?
