I heard something about a rear seat delete kit. Does anyone know about this??? If so, how much, and about how much time to intall kit?

I dont know where to buy it but I would just make one. It is really easy. After seeing the one on the cobra R at the last meet there is really nothing to it.

I thought about it, I am wondering what kind of wieght difference there would be between the one I could make and the kit???

does anyone have any pics of the rear seat delete?
i'll be taking my back seats out this summer and putting in a cage, along with many other things

You could use 1/4 inch material and cut down 40lbs or so I think. But I could be wrong.

I was thinking maybe 1/8 or possibly smaller T-6 sheeting, I would machine some mounts to attach it so it would be clean. Goto start taking measurements, see about how much $$, should be cheap, i get material at cost,(I'm a cnc machinist). Guess $10 maybe?

the main reason i wanted to do this is so i could have a good excuse to not give more then one person a ride anywhere in my car i hate having 4 people in the stang
so would a piece of sheet metal cut to fit and some matching carpet all i would need?

my friend jus did it in his 00gt. He has a vert with a procharger so he had to install a roll bar to race at the track. he cant fit anyone back ther so he did the delete. PM me if you want all the info.
