But yeah I want to get some LT's for my birthday and I just want to find a shop or someone on this site that will put them on for a decent price before i buy them.

its still runnin like crap since the 3.73's i even had it dyno'd and that showed 250hp and 290tq. so i know the engine is alright and its not really a traction problem. so i dont know what is going on.

a local place installed them for like $430. but i would go to rear end specialty's in santa clara they will do it for around $200, and gears are thier main deal. i have an install kit for the gears if you want them. and im sure kevin will join any day now because i joined.

Well I called Rear End Specialties today actually and they quoted me 220 for install and the guy said jsut bring the gears and he will handle everything else. You still think I would need that install kit? Did you get a speed-cal or abbott to go along w/ the gears?

they were gonna knock off like a hundred in price if i provided the install kit so it was around $220 if I provided the install kit and something like $350 without it. that was back when i was considering going back to 3.27's, but they talked me out of it. and i dont know what an abbot is but i had my chip reprogramed for the 3.73's, which was only the speedometer recalibration.

00Knightmare, Who reprogrammed your chip for the 3:73 speedo recal? What kind of gains did you get from the Superchip? I have a 01 GT with gears ready to go in but was shopping around for the abbott box. If I get a performance chip that recalibrates my speedo, I can kill two birds with one stone.

-armabu20 superchips reprogramed the chip, but it was $125 for the custom programing because i had to send the chip back in. Im not sure how much custom programing is if you have done when you buy the chip though. the chip made pretty big differance after 3000 rpm's it really started picking up. so far it was the best power addition to the car.
