Im about to order the intake from summit and was seeing what else i need beside the intake Bolts, Gaskets, Black RTV.
Summit recommends putting thread sealer on the intake bolts? necessary or not? below is what they suggest? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/arp-100-9904

Hey Chris,
Looks like you have everything you need. I put an airgap intake on a 289. I would highly recommend the thread sealer that you already have linked. Not necessarily for the coolant runners, but certainly for the middle studs, as oil will climb up them and dirty up that new intake! Ask me how I know!
I went with ARP intake studs ( over kill, but look nice ) Looks like you have everything else in order. I can't offer much information on the plug kit, i remember my intake coming with everything to make it sealed.
I hope this helps!

thanks sinister i ended up getting the sealer. and just received the intake which it might be going back since i received and older one without the plenum divide milled either that its may have to find a shop that will mill it down.

When I install an intake, especially if the engine is still in the car, it can be difficult to set it down straight without moving the gaskets or messing up the RTV beads on the front and rear. I make up 4 studs out of either threaded rod or long bolts with the heads cut off. Thread the studs into the front and rear most holes and then you're almost guaranteed of dropping the intake on nice and straight the first time. Remove the studs and install the intake bolts and torque to spec.

Got the intake today and was thinking of doing what you are suggesting seems to be the easiest way to guide down without messing up the rtv.
Thanks
also anyone know where i can get plenum divide milled down slightly? for some reason all edelbrock airgaps get this done except 351w - still going to contact them why? [ 2015-03-23, 09:58 PM: Message edited by: 70stang351w ]
