What can be the cause of the gas peddle getting stuck. I was coming out of a parking lot and decided to get on it, so I took my car to about 5k and it shot to redline. Went to neutral and it kept redlining. Turned of the car and it kept rolling an I started the car as it was still rolling and it shot to redline. Turned it off pulled to the side of the road popped my hood checked my throttle body and cable. It seemed fine so then turned the car back on and it was normal.
Any input?

Check the springs on the throttle body and linkage possibly binding

+1 if you didn't break the throttle cable then the spring is most likely the problem on throttle body
