I swapped out the sn95 front rotors for 13inch cobra rotors so now my front skinnies won't fit any advice used spacer but still don't clear the rotor

For Cobra brakes you NEED 17" rims. And thats almost all the time. Once in a while you'll catch a member saying they used a 15 up front

Use a 1.5" hub centric spacer up front to clear...thats how I did it but 17s would be the best option

^ you DO NOT need 17" front runners to clear 13" brakes I've personally ran 1" hub centric spacers on cobra brakes with 15" welds several times,so have all my buddies..were out racing almost every wed,we take our drag racing serious, believe me they will work, now give up on this thread cause 1" spacers work! See the problem here is that the spacers are being used. Some people trust that shit and some people don't. For dragging only with the skinnies it's cool I guess since there isn't much real driving like on a road. I personally don't trust that crap and would rather get the correct wheel to clear the brakes and mount on the Hub like a normal wheel is supposed to.

I don't see why anyone would be worried about using a hub centric spacer with skinnies, your running skinnies up front you wont be taking any fast turns anyways.

There not as prone to have issues as you would think, spacers getta bad rep mostly because dumbass's can't install a wheel and tire correctly and blame the spacers..I've ran these spacers on a 3600pnd street car for months on end beat the shit outta the car everyday donuts when necessary and all lol and never have I had an issue..no cracks,no stripped studs, the spacer doesn't ovalize,it's 1" thick billet for cryin out loud..guess if you think to much into it there an issue but take word from someone who hsd used them for years to clear cobra brakes and never one time had a problem!

I have seen a spacer like that fail. That's why I'm against it. On the other hand I aaaalways see old school mustangs with the spacers so really it's up to the owner if they Wana use it.
And the car looks much better with the cobra calipers peeking through with the 17" skinnies [ 2014-08-17, 08:49 PM: Message edited by: Wht86drop ]

I think the 17" fronts look stupid when you have a 15 or 16 in the rear.
Ive ran 15" front skinnies for years. If you have a Hubcentric spacer fail at the TRACK then either your an idiot or have MASSIVE badluck.
