So the oil pressure gauge on my 98 cobra always sits on the "m" in normal, but the last 2 days of i jump on it and the car is about 2500 rpms the gauge bounces around, if i cruise along the road no matter where my rpms are at it stays where it always has, is this a case of a bad sending unit or what? Thanks in advance

Ok so heres the weird part, i tried replacing sending switch and it didnt work at all, went and got the other option they had at oreillys, still didnt work at all, put stock one back in and now it doesnt do it, i rev the car from throttle body and let idle and dont hear any ticking or knocking

Might have broken the wire on the connector internally while replacing the switch. I wouldn't worry about it though. That oil gauge might as well he a idiot lite. It Dosent actually tell pressure at all. It's just a on off switch,. Just says there is greater than 5 or 7 psi. That's all
