i have swapped my old radiator for this one i bought off ebay. only difference is the bottom port is on the right side of the engine instead of both top/bottom on the left-hand side. it should be do-able with the right length however, i cant find any hose with right specs which is 1 & 3/4ths inch (bottom engine) to 1 & 1/4ths inch (bottom radiator) and the second hose 1 & 1/2 inch (top engine) to 1 & 1/4ths inch (top radiator)

Well your either going to have to find two or more hoses that give you the bends and sizes and take it to a parts store and match it up or order it in. Or just get two pieces of hose with those ends cut the ends off and run metal tubing and bend it to your needs. That our get the flexible gates hose and bend it.

either have to change your water pump and get the correct lower hose to match, or hit the parts store and piece something together

You got a 302 style radiator when you had a 289 setup. You need to get a 302 water pump/timing cover for the correct routing or return the radiator and get one with a passenger inlet/outlet. They might have one that you could exchange for. Your not going to have enough room to make a hose wrap around to the other side without hitting the fan.

Several radiator manufacturers have step down sleeves that reduce the neck or pump sizes. Years back they started this to consolidate numbers. So you either need to make adapters or use reducers.
