I am getting ready to purchase the pistons for my 331 build, & I have my sites set on Probe. (yes I know there are better pistons out there, but the price is great)....

Anyhow, How much better are the SRS series over the FPS series? The car will be 100% N/A, & will see some track abuse, but mostly street use. I know the SRS are stronger aluminum, but will the FPS work in my case? Is it worth the extra $120 for the stronger pistons? (money is tight)

These are examples f the 2 pistons... The SRS would be $420 through AD perf.

Both will still out last that block. Also your going with a inline head not a TW head right? On my build I'm not using expensive because the block with crack way before the parts fail... I thought you where going with a 347.

Thanks for the reply bro. I wish I was running better heads, but since my budget is pretty limited, I'm gonna stick with my Edelbrocks for now. Since they are gonna be ported, they definitely will flow well. I was gonna go with a 347, but since I got such a great deal on this 331 stuff from a buddy of mine, I decides to go 331. Thanks man, I think I will just order the cheaper ones because like you said, they will outlast the block anyway.
