I have a stock 94 with a 302. It does have bassani shorty headers, bassani x pipe and a borla cat back. The car sits for months at a time. The last time I drove it was back in September and it drove fine.

I will check
- MAF
- TPS
- fuel filter
- 02 sensors
- coil
- injectors
- dizzy
- plugs
- vac lines

Anything else that it could be?

Update: Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. I found the culprit. I had a bad resistance reading at the pick up coil. After I got a closer look, the magnet was cracked and barely holding together.

Now I just need to fix one more problem. When hot the car has a hard time starting. It slowly cranks like an almost dead battery before it fires up.

FP reads 39psi with vac off

I'm 99% sure they are the plain jane autolites. I have not touched the spark plugs in a couple years and will be checking the now

So far I checked the MAF and replaced the fuel filter. Will check the ignition stuff. My first guess was a clogged up MAF and my second was spark related too.

Check to make sure that the plug wires are all the way connected, or ohm test the wires for excessive resistance. Check the throttle is opening up all the way too. Hope that helps.

Had a similar issue, ending up being excessive plug gap.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. I found the culprit. I had a bad resistance reading at the pick up coil. After I got a closer look, the magnet was cracked and barely holding together.

Now I just need to fix one more problem. When hot the car has a hard time starting. It slowly cranks like an almost dead battery before it fires up.

I was talking to a couple members on the phone and they thought it was a bad ground too. Hopefully I can get to it today.

it could be the battery itself

i have had batteries that would not hold a charge....tested ok, died randomly

new battery....no problems

the test isnt 100% at the parts store, FYI
