I pulled my T5 out of the fox to get rebuilt last week, so today I pulled of the bell housing to check out my clutch. I honestly never saw this clutch when it was brand new, so I can't tell how much life it has left on it or how it looked when new? It is a Centerforce Dual Friction BTW.

Money is VERY tight for me right now, but I will also say that I will be installing my blower in a couple of months & if this clutch is gonna be an issue, I guess I will replace it now... What are your HONEST opinions of how much this clutch has left in it? Thanks...

plenty, but the only way to be sure is measure the depth from the rivet holes to the friction material and compare against mfgr. minimum limits.

just like brake pads, the friction material works until you wear it down to the rivets, it looks like there's a lot of life left to me.

About a year, I put a similar looking RAM clutch in a friends car in last january and it just started to slip a month ago. He drives it like he stole it aswell.

Thanks guys. I got this clutch with my entire used motor & 5 speed setup I purchased. Not sure how many miles the clutch had on it when I put it in, but I'm gonna say I've put about 3000-4000 hard miles on it myself LOL...

I would just prefer to not pull this trans out again anytime soon, so if it looks questionable, I will replace it now instead of later.

Put a little bit of silicone on the threads of the flywheel bolts before you install them.
