About how long does it take to install them?? How difficult are they to install?? Any tips?? Thanks ahead of time! [patriot]

The headers are super easy, the h-pipe you might have to wrestle with a little to line up to the headers. Its a little easier with the hangers cut off

I would not cut the hangers if you have the car lowered, or plan on lowering it. The pipe itself might hang a couple inches lower without the hangers, and you risk scraping them often, on speedbumps or steep driveways ect. Might even knock it loose causing a leak.

im lowered 2 inches and my exhaust doesnt scrape the ground even on bumps. i use a jack on the crossover pipe then tighten all the bolts and it stays in position just fine.

Same strategy I use and it works perfect on my 5.0s....not quite as well on the Cobra. Doing it this way it actually tucks higher than with the hangers.

oh yeah exuast!! [Big Grin] jst pullin ur leg bro!! shouldnt take long11 as long asur motor mounts arent fucked up it should line up pretty easy!! now when connecting the h pipe to the pipe from the muffs hand tighten the h pipe to the headers,
the same for the other connection,place a jack under the h pipe an lift til u see u have enuff clearance then put the wrenches to work front to back!!

it will be easier with an extra hand, but still doable solo...might need to take o2 out on pass side to get to the flange bolts...and a looooooong extension

I got all the flange bolts out... Its the smaller pipe and that hangers are giving me ahard time.. It was a small clamp on the smaller pipe, I removed it.. So is it safe to just yank the shit out of it(towards the rear of the car) until it comes out?? Or just undo the whole thing(up to the passenger side of the engine bay).. I know it seems like its taking me forever but im just not in a rush to get it in... Lol.. But any tips wud be greatly appriciated [patriot]

that small air tube should come off your stock h pipe by wigggling it around a bit till it loosens up.maybe squirt some penetrating oil at it.id take it out cuz it may get in your way when you slap on those headers.you may need to modify it to bolt to your new set up also.

take off the mufflers completely so you can move the h pipe more freely

How can I block it of?? Bcuz im installing an o/r h pipe(well prochamber).. And it has to be usable for when I slap the stocker back on for smog

use a 3" long piece of 3/4" heater hose and put a 3/4" plug on one end, put it on the h-pipe and tighten down with 2 hose clamps.

Man, these headers are a bitch... The bends are makung it extremely difficult to line the bolts.. Lets just say in done for the day... [Mad]

ya the equal lengths are a bit tougher..try an get the end bolts in first and leave a bit of room to slide on the gaskets.

when i put on bbk equal lengths the pipe touched the k-member slightly i loosened the motor mounts and jacked it up about 3/8" tightened the headers and lowered the motor back down.

They are 4 piece flange... I have to use aftermarker header bolts...

Those four piece flanges can be a PITA sometimes, try to get a pry bar in there and pry each flange seperately while putting the bolts in.
