I have a '93 Mustang with the stock rear upper control arms. I am contemplating installing adjustable arms. What brand are you running? Any fitment or performance issues? thanks.

if its a straight up drag car that completely different... if you plan on taking turns though which most people do, youll want rubber bushings for the uppers or youll tear up the upper torque boxes or the ucas with stiffer bushings.

This is a daily drver with a maximum motorsports complete suspension kit. The only thing straight line about it is when I go to the dragstrip I change wheels and tires to get a little better traction. I would like the adjustable upper control arms to have the ability to adjust my pinion angle should I want to.

I wasn't aware that Maximum Motorsports made adjustable upper arms, I will look into it. So far I have found the Metco arms that utilize poly bushings with the ability to adjust pinion angle.

they dont make adjustable upper arms, they only sell the ford racing ones i recommended. if you run anything other that those your rear end wont articulate correctly when taking turns and youll lose traction and put stress on the torque boxes and the upper arms. thats why ford used rubber bushings because theyre just soft enough to let the rear end move freely when cornering while still being able to get a good launch.

http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=514_21_98

read the info at the top of the page, i assume MM knows mustang suspension so i went with what they recommended and my car handles great now.

which 'complete' kit do you have?

the torque arm and panhard bar would be a much better way to go.

I have the "Road and Track Box" kit w/ the panhard bar and adjustable lower control arms. I was going to buy a heavy duty torque arm from maximum motorsports but it was only rated to 450 ft lbs of rear wheel torque with my transmission and gear ratio. I will keep searching.....

call up MM, the tech says that, but I run the HD on the back of my car with T5/3.73's and run 10psi from a procharger through a trickflow h/c/i 302. I haven't had any problems.

if you have a panhard bar the only uppers you should run are the frpp ones. they allow the slight side to side movement of the rear end that happens during the suspension travel with a panhard bar. if you run the poly or sphericals it will bind like crazy.
