First make sure the coolant is full, then check the heater control valve vacuum line. It's on the pass of the engine on the heater line. The vacuum lime falls off all the time. If that's not off, do your vents switch to all settings or is it stuck on defrost? If so your vacuum pump us bad or tank Is leaking. If that is good try zip tie the heater control
valve in the open position and see if it warms up. Or your blend door is blocked or bad actuator, or plugged heater core. Pm me if ya need anything else.

Also, it may sound funny but try turning your ac on
with the temp setting hot. See if it warms up. I have seen a couple control units do this.

OK i will check that.
The vents change to all settings but i haven't tried the AC on with hot air. i'll see if that works. What does it mean if it does heat up?

Started the truck up and let t warm up and the heater is working again. I didn't touch anything, so I have no idea why it stops working
