The best advice I can give is to make a plan and stick to the plan, so if You are going to eventually upgradeto HCI "heads cam and intake" then You need to decide if You are going to go with a manufactured kit like a holly ect. or if You are going for something like a holly intake, cnc ported "pck a brand" head's, and custom cam. Then if You are going to stay NA or add a power adder down the line would make a difference on the cam selection. Last thing You want to do is buy part's twice because You decide to go a different way with Your car down the road, unless You have deep pocket's or get screaming deals on the stuff You buy because even with a well thought out plan this hobby is EXPENSIVE!! To be honest now that I reread Your post if gas milage is a concern then just leave Your car stock and enjoy the way it is.

Get a little 6psi paxton on it. The power will only be there when you want. Your gas mileage will be the same while cruising as long as you keep your right foot in check.
