You need compressed air to remove pistons

Be careful as the pistons will come flying out. They are NOT metal and can break if they hit the caliper, use a small board with a rag rag folded up to cushion them from hitting. They need to come almost all the way out but not completely in order to get both out.
The brake hose hole only goes into one cylinder, there is a small hole that connects to the other cylinder, this is why you need to prevent them from coming out 100%
Once the pistons are out you can then remove the seals (don't try before the pistons are out or they will tear, these act as seals AND dust boots). Replace seals on pistons as well as boots, place some brake fluid on them and slide back into caliper.

Hey FR 5.0 As Mustangguy says above is correct. I might add that the use of a rubber tipped air nozzle allows you to blow the first piston out by inserting the nozzle in the brake line hole. Once that piston is out insert the rubber tip in the small crossover hole at the bottom of the now empty bore being careful not to scratch the machined surface and blow it out. Then relax and read your educational magazine in picture.
