Would 8.8" 28 spline axles from a 96-98 GT work for what ur looking for? If so i have a pair and it may save u a trip.

first take off both tires/drums (just the drums NOT all the springs and brake crap), then take the diff cover off (use 1/2" socket). Rotate the axle until the cross pin bolt is in view (its a 8mm not a 9mm like in the write up) just a warning that center bolt is one tight SOB, try and use a 6pt over a 12pt wrench/socket. Once the bolt is out remove the cross pin, push the axles in toward the pumpkin to gain clearance for removal of the C-clips that are holding the axles in. once the C-clips are removed the axles will slide out.

its simple but messy.
