how does this process go about?..it rubs against my header sometimes and make it hard to turn

you need to clearnce the headers the steering shaft is staying were it's at

Jaejae u can grind down the rag joint this the usual offender or massage the header if you are running 1 5/8 but if you are running 1 3/4 LTs I strongly recomend you buy an aftermarket 1 piece steering shaft that does not have rag joint. Maximum Motorsports and flaming river both make nice pieces. As a bonus your steering will feel more responsive with the 1 piece steering shaft.

jae jae bro i have had this problem with both of my stangs! its going to sound jank but take the header off and get a deep long socket like a 1/2 inch or so place it on the header were the shaft rubs and hit it lightly anmd it will make a small lil indintation and it will clean fine

hmm..yea if i was gonna buy a new steering shaft im buyin a manual seering rack to..lol..ill figure it out guys..i apreciate the info
