Ok my oil pressure lately has been iffy. Upon startup its high but after its been running awhile t dips pretty low.

It only does this at idle if i give it throttle it jumps back up.

My motor has over 188k with minor bolt ons. Could the sending unit be bad?

are you looking at the stock gauge? If so that thing is useless I would check it with and oil pressure test gauge or hook up an autometer one.

probably the sending unit, the stock gauge goes up with anything over 6psi of pressure, and goes down with anything less, it's a switch not a gauge.

sending units fail a lot, I run an autometer T'd with the stock sending unit so I can see both [Smile]
