I bought some gt40 iron heads for cheap; But it has machined receiver grooves for o-rings.

What do I need to have, in order to run these heads on a bone Stock 5.0 block?

My friend gave me a new set of Felpro 1006 head gaskets, will those work?
What gaskets would you recommend?
do I need to do anything to the block decks?
[Confused]

You will not need to touch the block. Just make sure that the head gaskets are for O-ringed heads.

cool thanks greasy.
How much boost do you think a stock 93 short block can handle with those heads?
The heads combustion chambers measured 63CC,stock pistons [Eek!] ,f303 cam, holley efi intake,42lbs,255lph tank & inline, msd btm,and a 60mm t4 turbo. I'll most likely get it dyno tuned with a chip burned to the tune once its together.

I'll change the short block next summer when I can afford it.

I'm not sure about the power levels the stock 93
pistons can handle.

a Few years back I had a cheap paxton sn93 blower with a race impellar upgrade using the same short block but with oem heads, running 9psi of boost... The car went 7.42@96mph 1/8mi.
basic tune, & spout connector removed.
So that leaves me to believe I can get away with running 8-9 psi okay with the turbo.
What do you think?
Thanks again

Either machine it out or lockwire it.

I think total HP would be the concern not how much boost. Seems like anything over about 450-500 at the flywheel and these things go boom very easy.

Yeah your right. I was thinking there maybe a risk with running pistons that are not forged.

I'm gonna run felpro 1006 headgaskets .

Run what you brung and running hyper pistons dont mean shit.

You will kill the block before those pistons go.

Run that shit with some good fuel and a good tune and balls to the wall.

I am so sick of hearing folks whine about hyper 5.0 motors from 93-95....they are JUST as tough.

Check the stock block chronicles on turbomustangs..
