Just wait for Blown67. I can remember at least 4 different rim and tires combos he has posted up on his 67.

I've seen 275/40's on a 17 by 9 rim, the backspacing is the key to fitting it, but the tires will clear with the right rims. I am sure someone has stuffed more, but in my friend's lowered '67, the 275/40/17 fit well. Case in point on the BS, another friend of mine rubs the quarterpanels badly on his '67 with a 245/45/17 tire, because the BS is not enough on the wheels he has.

On my Bros 67(wckdstng)he runs a P275/40r17 Mickey Thompson ET/Street DR's on a 17x8 TT II's,P255/60R15 Same tire on 15x7 draglites or sometimes a P275/60R15 Same tire on a 15X9 Bogarts Even he has run the 26x10.5R15 full ET/street full slick on a 15x8 Prostars @ the track w/no rubbing. The P275/60R15 is a huge tire for a car car that lowered 2in in the back.I will try to get my bro to put some pics...But offset and backspacing is the key for proper fitment or tryall and error all cars are diff..

I'm planning on a set of 18 / 9.5 in the rear and 18 / 9 front on my 67 I wanna run at least a 275-35-18 in the rear my car is about 1.5 lower then stock. I'll figure out the back spacing and post it up.

Before I lowered my '68, I was using a Bullitt rim, 1" spacers and 245/45's all around and had no issues. After lowering the car with 1 coil cut off the stock spring and lowering the control arm 1", I had rubbing issues on the front lower part of the fender. I dropped down to a 225/45 and have no issues now.
