I have been searchng different threads and forums for the last 3 days trying to figure out these few questions. Im going nuts here. I have an 89 5.0 with NO PS, AC or SMOG and an aftermarket overflow with NO sensor attached. Here goes:

Taurus Fan Install:

I bought the FAL 2 speed VSC, so my questions are:

1. Is 14AWG wire OK to use with the install or should I go higher?
2. If my battery is in the trunk, can I run the + from the VSC to the solenoid and if not; where?
3. Is a 40 amp fuse enough and how close to the power "source" (coil, battery, etc.) should it be mounted?
4. How do you hook up BOTH speeds on the fan with the VSC?
5. What is the purpose of the weatherstrip around the fan and what kind?

3G:

I have been reading a lot on this and Im so confused now, so here is what I did.

1. When I hooked up my 3G ALL I did was take the lonely stator wire (wht/blk) and spliced it into the other connector that goes into the Alternator. Thats it. I didnt cut any of the other wires that are on the BIG connector, I just put them aside. Am I missing anything?

2. As far as the YELLOW wire is concerned, I did nothing to it. So the ONLY things connected are the Stator wire that is looped to the "D" plug on the Alt and thats it. Correct?

Please Help guys. Im trying to start this car soon and this is really kickin my A$$!

Chris
