Author Topic: need to change my speedo gear 66coupe ¯ Member # 8549 posted                              i just switched out my rear gears from 3.00s to 3.73 in my 66 coupe. i also installed a posi diff. so my mph is way off. which i expected but i dont know where to get the speedo gear or how to install it. any help will be appreciated! thank you Posts: 278 | From: elk grove | Registered: Aug 2008  |  : JohnB Tech Moderator Member # 969 posted                              Speedo gear is on the end of the speedo cable. Remove the retaining bolt, pull the end out of the transmission tailshaft, remove the clip on the small gear and reverse for the install.
