i just took my bassani x pipe put stock back on for smog night and day difference, more torque,more sound. i miss it real bad.

Its a minimal top end power gain over an H pipe, but IMO, H pipes ALWAYS sound better on mustangs... I hate the o/r X I have on my coupe & I will switch it out for an H pipe eventually... X pipes are too high pitched & crackly for my taste....

I strongly agree, my 97 GT with the 4v motor made, or at least felt more powrful with the off road x pipe. My 05GT ( I miss it ![[Frown]](frown.gif) ...) had a bassani x pipe and man it was awsome compared to the stock H it had on it....I would go with an X pipe over H any day. Truth is that my 03 Cobra, 97 GT, and the 05GT all have X pipes on it....

ya the pull is way better ............however the h pipe had a low end torque pull to the top end and feel like the power just flattened out ....the x pipe didnt produce the torque burst that h the had but it was still good and the top end felt like it was pulling hrough the higher rpm band more freely than the H,it was like i was shifting faster and the car would move on the top end. i raced my boy in his ss with the h and on on the low end i pulled faster when i was in the topend he hung next to me.....
i put the x pipe on to see if there was i diffrence and we raced again same setup but just swapped to x and i pulled him hard he didnt even see me so there is a big diffrence and the x makes the car sound more exotic sound like lambo farrari etc the h has more deeper muscle older sounding

Ive always wanted to know this too. I have an H on mine now. I think after my smog im going to swap in an x and try it out. I have plenty of low and with my gears i just flatten out in my top end so I hope an x might help me out.

I think H pipes sound good on the 2v and 5.0 motors but for the 4v X is the way to go! Love the way my 03 sounds with the catted Magnaflow X!

i can vouch for that on wille i used to be spoiled alot and got hated on by many now i spoil myself and people respect me.....i dont think that it is right for people to hate on somone cause their parents help them out especially in wille situation....... my boy wille and i both know that you work hard for the money you get feel me ![[Wink]](wink.gif) ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
