I currently have a 347 motor being built with trickflow heads and custom cam...I want to run the victor 5.0 intake but I just got off the phone with edelbrock and the tech guy told me that I would need to have the lower intake modified in order to have enough hood clearance...is there any truth to this? Is anyone on this board running the victor 5.0 intake?

It is a VERY tight fit with stock motor mounts. I know of one fox that the intake clears the hood and another that had to shim up the rear of his hood slightly to make it fit, (not really even noticable).

i run tis intake on my 347 in a fox cobra and it was nowhere near clearing also you may have to mill 60 thousandths off each side of the lower intake to sit down on those heads, but its a great intake, i just would not concider it a "bolt on"

i had all kinds of drivability issues with the tfs-r(not too the point where it was undrivable, just annoying) there are a lot of advantages in using the victor it flows so much better, contact shaun at aed, he can give you a million and one reasons to use the victor over tfs-r
